BBDO Guerrero wins Agency of the Year and Best of Show at 2016 Kidlat Awards
At the Ad Summit Pilipinas, the country™s largest advertising festival, BBDO Guerrero won Kidlat Agency of the Year for the second year running. And won the Grand Kidlat (Best of Show) for the Department of Tourism™s “Photofails” campaign. The Department of Tourism was also named Advertiser of the Year.
Chairman of the Jury, Raoul Panes of Leo Burnett, said the prize was given by a unanimous decision of the judges. They included members of the country™s leading agencies as well as Joji Jacob of DDB Asia Pacific and Ted Lim of Dentsu Asia Pacific.
The agency also did well in the craft category, awarded by a separate jury led by Eric Cruz of AKQA Shanghai.
The agency was also recognized for its work on Globe Telecom, Johnson™s Baby, Mountain Dew and the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines.
On the same evening Stephan Domingo and Lance Francisco, a young creative team from BBDO Guerrero, won the Diwa (Public Service) award competition and a $10,000 cash prize awarded by the E. Zobel Foundation for the implementation of a campaign for environmental awareness.
BBDO Guerrero is also the current 4As agency of the year.
