Netizens support BBDO Guerrero’s #ForEveryPinoyFighter campaign for Pru Life UK

On April 24, 2015, Pru Life UK produced a campaign timed around the biggest boxing fight of the century—the Pacquaio-Mayweather match. The insurance giant released a television commercial and online video that supports the many areas affected by supertyphoon Haiyan in 2013, specifically the Bantayan community, located in a remote island in Cebu.

The community, still recovering from the devastation of supertyphoon Haiyan, was given the chance to watch the Pacquaio vs. Mayweather fight. Part of the campaign was to encourage the public to post a photo of them wearing the ‘Go Manny’ headband. For every photo posted with the hashtag #ForEveryPinoyFighter, Pru Life UK would donate P10 to the Bantayan community.

Come Sunday, May 3rd, , the day of the much-anticipated boxing match of the century, the social media universe was bombarded with #ForEveryPinoyFighter posts. The online video posted on Facebook by Pru Life UK was shared almost 17,000 times, and was liked by almost 280,000 people. Notable personalities also supported the campaign by means of a Tweet, Instagram post, or Facebook post.
