BBDO Guerrero launched an Independence Day ad for Manila Bulletin

In an effort to help people remember the long road towards achieving Philippine freedom, BBDO Guerrero recently launched an Independence Day print ad for Manila Bulletin, informing the public how the Philippine National Anthem evolved.

Released on June 12, 2015, 117 years after the first Philippine Declaration of Independence, the ad featured the country’s flag with facts about the development of the anthem. Through a Quick-response (QR) code, readers are then led to a video of Asia’s Got Talent 2nd runner-up and fellow citizen Gerphil Flores singing ‘Lupang Hinirang’.

BBDO creative team Valerie Villaflor and Stephan Domingo created the print ad, along with Manila Bulletin graphics team Edward Llanes and Eugene Cubillo.
